Darker Scars: appears as darkened freckle-like spots or blotches
Lighter Scars: tends to have a light, pinkish appearance
Erythema: is permanent redness in the skin
Atrophic: appears as a sunken recess/ pit in the skin
Stretch marks: appear as long purple or white stripes on the skin

Scars form as part of the healing process after your skin has been cut or damaged.

While they are a necessary part of skins repair, no one “loves” these conspicuous (often ugly) marks.
